Natural Pool

Nestled within a striking rock formation, Aruba's Natural Pool is encircled by volcanic stone, forming a picturesque small depression. This captivating site, also known as 'Conchi' or 'Cura di Tortuga', lies in Aruba's Arikok National park, where a deserted stretch of coastline offers a regular display of water sprays over the rocks as the tide surges ashore.

MAP

The Natural Pool is situated in the heart of Aruba's rugged terrain, creating a sense of discovery for visitors who venture to the site on foot, horseback, or 4x4 vehicle. This secluded area is inaccessible by regular cars, and inexperienced drivers are recommended to visit the pool on a Jeep Safari tour.

ATV/UTV’s are not allowed in the park!!

Pay attention to the weather as swimming in the pool during high waves is not advised as it can be hazardous. They will close the pool if waves are too high!

PRO TIP:

Wear tennis shoes! Bring water shoes! This is a MUST! The rocks are slippery!

Getting into the pool is NO JOKE. Use those water shoes and go slow! The rocks are slippery and jagged and you could get seriously hurt!

You can rent a Jeep for the day in Aruba, however, please read the fine print on your contract. A lot of the companies do not allow you to take the Jeep to the natural pool because it's such rugged terrain paired with inexperienced drivers and the jeep can get damaged.

PRO TIP:

Go early in the am before all the tours come to have the pool to yourself!

If you just rented a regular old car, you will need to park and hike into the pool. It's about a 3.5 mile hike from the visitor center with little to no shade, so bring lots of water, wear sunscreen, wear close toed shoes. You can also park at the top of the hill by the Rancho Daimari (a horse farm) for a shorter hike, around 1.5 miles each way!  Beware of that last hill hiking back, it’s a doozie!

Another option is to do a tour via horseback or take a tour that has one of the large 4x4 open air trucks that can bring 12 ppl, like This one!

OR

Full-Day Aruba Self-Guided Jeep Rental with Transport with Real Deal!

Jeeps can go many more places than an ATV can! 8 Hours! This one allows you to go to the pool! Hotel pick up/drop off inc.

There are approximately 92 steps down to the pool from the parking lot for 4x4's

Check weather conditions before you go! The park will close the pool if the weather is bad

You will need to purchase a ticket first at the visitor center if you go without a tour group.

Getting into the natural pool is NO JOKE. I was sooo glad we had Rob there to show us how to get in and out safely!  Plus, we got to enjoy the pool to ourselves for a good 30 mins before 3 other ppl showed up.

I couldn't imagine being dropped off with 50 ppl and all trying to get into this pool safely, not knowing what u are doing and then having to share it with so many ppl!

When the waves come over the top, it pushes you towards the rocks and if a bunch of ppl are in there, that could be really scary!!  Loved this private experience!
