Exploring the local markets in Aruba is a delightful way to immerse yourself in the island's culture and discover unique treasures. These markets are vibrant hubs where you can find everything from handmade crafts to fresh produce, all while supporting local artisans and farmers.


Be sure to bring a bag for your purchases and carry cash. Both US dollars and Aruban florins are accepted. While some vendors might offer Venmo, Apple Pay, or card payment options, having cash ensures you won't miss out on anything you want to buy!


Artisanal Crafts and Souvenirs around Aruba


Throughout Aruba, you'll find smaller markets and stalls offering artisanal crafts and souvenirs. From hand-painted ceramics to locally made candles, soaps & jewelry, these markets provide a chance to purchase gifts that capture the essence of Aruba. Many of these items are crafted with materials sourced from the island, making them truly special keepsakes.  You can find them all over at hotels throughout the week!

STR Agriculture Farmers Market


For a more authentic and locally-focused experience, visit the STR Agriculture Farmers Market on Saturday mornings from 8am-12pm. MAP


This market is a haven for fresh produce lovers, offering an array of locally grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs.  Beyond produce, you can also find Dr Green Veggies who makes the MOST DELICIOUS fresh drinks, other food vendors and even local jewelry vendors! 


You will also find tasty sauces, and other artisanal products. It's an excellent spot to pick up some unique items and taste the local flavors.  


To get here, turn by Cafe 080 and follow the road about a mile, look for the Central Restaurant and there will be a sign just past this to turn left for the STR Farm.  Park inside the gates or outside along the street!  Bring a bag for all your goodies!  





Local Market at the Ostrich Farm


Held on the first Sunday of every month (except January) from 10am-2pm, the local market at the Ostrich Farm is a must-visit for those interested in handmade goods and local crafts.


This market features a variety of vendors selling everything from handmade jewelry and clothing to fresh food and drinks. It's a fantastic place to find unique, one-of-a-kind items and interact with local artisans.  So many vendors here, this absolutely shouldn’t be missed!!  Arrive early for the best selection and bring a bag for your goodies!  Easy parking on site. 





Butterfly Farm: Local Market the last Saturday of the Month


On the last Saturday of every month from 9am-1pm, the Butterfly Farm in Aruba transforms into a vibrant local market, offering a unique blend of shopping and nature.


Set amidst the farm's lush, tropical environment, visitors can explore stalls featuring handmade jewelry, art, crafts, fresh produce, gourmet food, and natural products. This market provides a wonderful opportunity to support local artisans and small businesses while enjoying the enchanting surroundings of the Butterfly Farm. It's a family-friendly event that captures the essence of Aruba’s culture and community spirit, making it a must-visit for both residents and tourists.



Local Market by the Cruise Ship Port


The local market near the cruise ship port in Aruba, conveniently situated across the street from the CITGO gas station, is a bustling hub of activity and commerce. Here, visitors can explore a variety of stalls offering an array of products, from handmade crafts and souvenirs to t-shirts, sweatshirts, dresses, etc. The market's vibrant atmosphere and diverse offerings make it a must-visit spot for anyone looking to experience the local culture and pick up unique items during their time in Aruba. Open 9-5 daily, more vendors are usually there when there is a cruise ship in port that day!

Aruba Made: Located in downtown Oranjestad, next to Anchor Fish, cute handmade items and T-shirts, sweatshirts.  All made in Aruba!  



The Atelier:  Located inside the Paseo Herencia mall in Palm Beach you will gorgeous handmade items from locals in Aruba.  Jewelry, paintings, clothing, pottery and more! Open from 10am-2pm and 4pm-10pm Mon-Sat.  Sundays 5-10pm.  


Ola Gallery: Located inside the Paseo Herencia mall in Palm beach, right across from Atelier! Jewelry, paintings, lighthouses and more!



Lentino Artisan: Located inside the Paseo Herencia Mall in Pam Beach, by King Churro and the Lazy Turtle. Gorgeous Handmade jewelry and purses by 2 sisters! Every piece is one of a kind!
